YodalightEx YO5IS — Intrinsically Safe Sounder
The Yodal EX YO5IS is an intrinsically safe audible signal designed for hazardous environments needing stronger room or zone coverage, increasing output to up to 105dB at 1 metre. It provides 32 selectable tones via a DIL switch and a two-stage alarm, in flame-retardant ABS with stainless-steel fixings and a monitoring facility.
As an IS device it must be powered only through an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator to preserve its protection rating.
Higher intrinsically safe output for larger hazardous-area zones.
IMPORTANT! This product must be used with an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator. All connections into the product must be made via a suitably rated barrier or isolator — never connect it directly to the voltage supply without a barrier in place, as this will cause permanent damage to the PCB and void the warranty. Installation and connection should only be carried out by appropriately competent and qualified personnel.
