Z928 — Intrinsically Safe Zener Barrier
The Z928 is a single-channel AC Zener barrier for intrinsically safe circuits, limiting the energy transferred from the safe area into the hazardous area. It uses interconnected zener diodes with alternating polarity, so it can be used with both alternating and direct voltage signals.
Like the rest of the range it mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail with grounding through the rail and is certified [Ex ia] IIC for equipment in Zone Gas 0/1/2.
