Types of Warning Signals, Audible

Audible warning signals are used to provide a clear sound warning across a wide range of applications and environments. Moflash offers several types of audible signalling devices, including air horns, bells, buzzers, electronic sounders and sirens. Each type has different sound characteristics, output levels and suitable applications.

Understanding sound output over distance

The dB chart displays theoretical attenuation in perfect conditions in an open area without obstruction.

The sound frequency of the signal used will have a marked effect on the decibel reading at any given point. A much lower sound frequency will achieve a higher dB rating over longer distances, while a much higher sound frequency may achieve a lower dB rating over the same distance.
