IS-S — Intrinsically Safe Sounder
The IS-S is an intrinsically safe electronic sounder designed for potentially explosive atmospheres in Group I (Mining) and Group II (Above Ground) applications, in a high-ingress IP66 enclosure. Ideal for fire, security, process-control and general signalling, it offers a two-stage alarm with 32 selectable tones (via PCB dip switch) at up to 105dB at 1 metre for room or zone coverage.
IMPORTANT! This product MUST be used with an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator.
Its TimeSaver base enables quick, reliable installation — the sounder head twists and clicks onto the pre-wired base. Must be used with an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator.

IMPORTANT! This product must be used with an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator. All connections into the product must be made via a suitably rated barrier or isolator — never connect it directly to the voltage supply without a barrier in place, as this will cause permanent damage to the PCB and void the warranty. Installation and connection should only be carried out by appropriately competent and qualified personnel.
