IS-B — Intrinsically Safe Beacon
The IS-B is an intrinsically safe LED beacon designed for potentially explosive atmospheres across Group I (Mining) and Group II (Above Ground) applications, in a high-ingress IP66 enclosure. Suitable for fire, security, process-control and general signalling, it uses a 9-LED array with a DIP switch to select a 1Hz flash or a static signal, giving flexible local, room or zone coverage.
A specially designed TimeSaver base speeds installation — the head simply twists and clicks into the pre-fixed base with no extra head wiring.
IMPORTANT! This product MUST be used with an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator.

IMPORTANT! This product must be used with an approved Zener Barrier or Galvanic Isolator. All connections into the product must be made via a suitably rated barrier or isolator — never connect it directly to the voltage supply without a barrier in place, as this will cause permanent damage to the PCB and void the warranty. Installation and connection should only be carried out by appropriately competent and qualified personnel.
